APNIC EC Election 2024
NRS’s original campaign profiles, governance commitments and voting guide, preserved as a dated record of its APNIC election advocacy.
NRS Endorsed Candidates
NRS and its members have the same objective and it supports and encourages all of its members to act towards the unlimited, free and accessible internet for all. Nonetheless NRS is also an independent non-profit organisation that acts independently. Whatsoever it decides, condones, acts and behaves towards a certain decision and/or actions are unrelated to its members as well as the candidates.
Current Challenges at APNIC
Over time, APNIC has drifted from its core mission of serving the Asia Pacific community, with concerns about centralized control and lack of transparency. The organization appears dominated by a single individual, raising questions about accountability and fairness.
The Number Resource Society (NRS) aims to restore trust, transparency, and true community representation by endorsing fresh leadership and advocating for critical reforms.
Our Candidates Pledge to:
- Cut membership fees by 30%
- Restore community-led governance
- Be a strong voice for businesses
- Restructure APNIC operations
- Hold leadership accountable
- Promote a free and fair resource market
- Reincorporate in Singapore & go carbon neutral by 2030
