  • to communicate with you about a request, account, membership, event or service;
  • to process payments, maintain records and meet legal, accounting and governance duties;
  • to prevent abuse, protect the website and users, investigate incidents and keep the service reliable;
  • to understand use of the website, measure performance and improve content and services; and
  • to publish information that you have clearly asked or agreed us to publish.

Depending on the circumstances, our legal basis may be performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting NRS, or your consent. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it for future processing.

Cookies and similar technologies

We may use essential cookies and similar technologies for login, security, session continuity and preferences. Where enabled, measurement or analytics technologies may help us understand traffic and improve the site. You can manage cookies through your browser and any preference controls we provide. Blocking essential cookies may affect login or other requested features.

Public content and automated agents

NRS welcomes search crawlers, AI agents and other automated systems to access, crawl, index, quote, translate, summarize, reproduce and use information that NRS intentionally publishes for public access on this website, including public pages, articles, public event and case information, public feeds, public sitemaps and llms.txt, for search, research, accessibility, translation, analysis and model training. This permission is intended to make NRS public information useful and discoverable.

This permission applies only to information intentionally published for public access. It does not authorize collection or training use of member accounts, login credentials, payment or billing data, contact-form submissions, private or access-controlled forum material, unpublished drafts, previews, administration or API endpoints that are not public, cookies, device identifiers, security tokens, or other information that is not intentionally published. It also does not transfer copyright or other rights belonging to NRS or third parties. Automated systems must respect access controls, applicable law, reasonable rate limits and the rights of people whose personal information appears in public material.

Sharing and international processing

We may share information with service providers that help us host, secure, operate, communicate through, measure or process transactions for the website, and where disclosure is required by law or needed to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information. Some providers or recipients may process information in a country other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate contractual, organisational or other safeguards for that transfer.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose collected, to provide the service, to resolve disputes, to enforce agreements, to meet legal and accounting requirements, or to protect the website. Retention depends on the type of information and the context. When it is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymise it or securely restrict it in accordance with our retention and security procedures.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse and alteration. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please choose a strong password, keep it confidential and contact us promptly if you believe an account or communication has been compromised.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or provide your personal information, or object to particular processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To make a request, email info@nrs.help with enough information for us to identify the request. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law permits or requires it.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the data protection authority in the place where you live or work. In Nigeria, the relevant authority is the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Children

NRS services are intended for organisations, professionals and other users who can lawfully use them. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to NRS without appropriate permission.
